Parts of this particular set once belonged to Paul Joseph Sachs (1878-1965), who was affiliated with Harvard's Fogg Art Museum and with the financial firm of Goldman-Sachs. His bookplate and signature appear in the books. Perhaps he is the one who had the softbound catalogs bound. Rare, and seldom seen in a complete set like this. VG- (Vol. 2 is missing tp; all 3 vols. have wear on spines and part of titling is missing; otherwise, in great shape.) Softcover volumes exhibit wear, and the Estampes volume has significant water staining to the upper pages, including some illustrations, but no pages are sticking.
