Octovo hardcover, in original green cloth, gilt illustration on front is dystonic/blurry, pages throught are clean bright and without discordance, the covers are faintly dusty, moreso on the spine but tiny letters announcing the title are sharp, top edge gilt is golden showing its age but still clear, deckled front edges lilt, the bottom edge of the cover looks rasped, clearly, but does not weaken the structure of the work, else barely Very Good, but sound. The story is about the structure and composition of the orchestra with its several families of instruments, most in harmony- four parts, etc. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Very Good with no dust jacket .
