Early issue of this somewhat obscure underground press publication from Ann Arbor. Its editors hoped to focus more on the political than the psychedelic, and especially leaned toward the more radical elements of the left movement politics. This issue with a letter from Civil Rights and Black power activist James Forman, addressing coordinating white and black actions against racism and the US government. Notably, Forman discusses the knowledge among SNCC leaders that the US government would assassinate Black leaders if they were too "uppity." With this acknowledgment, Forman asks that upon his assassination, he expects white revolutionaries to destroy 10 war factories, blow up 15 police stations, and kill 500 racist white cops, among other requests. Usual anti-war news present, a piece on acid rock, poetry by Alicia Johnson, etc. GOOD condition. Heavy toning to the paper. Paper a bit brittle, with some creasing, chipping and tearing along the extremities. Good .
