Side folding tabloid newspaper format. 28 pp. Front cover a full page illustration of marijuana plants, with the rear cover instructing on how to grow and harvest the plants. Photos and illustrations throughout. The first and last two leaves are unopened, to form a large poster when removed from the rest of the paper. Later issue of this visually appealing underground paper that combined edgy comics, layout and graphics to report on, and satirize news of the day, while reporting on left wing and counterculture topics, often embracing a psychedelic editorial tone. It was also one of the first underground newspapers to use color printing for its covers. This issue looks at May 1st as a celebration of pot, discusses a protest at the Playboy club in Chicago, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor to moderate toning and a hint of curling to the paper. Some creasing and a few small tears along the edges. Good .
