Withrow wrote this memoir partially in response to prison riots in the 1930s, exposing the harsh conditions in prison, with the hope of initiating prison reform. GOOD+ condition. Minor toning, fading and edgewear to the book, including some small dings along the extremities. Several light orange spots of staining to the endpapers. Good .
