As an early proponent of the underground comix movement, EVO published work by R. Crumb (not in this issue) and others, as well as publishing a paper devoted to comix. This issue with the usual movement, music, drug and counterculture musings, etc. Of note is an article by Timothy Leary, "The Great Millbrook Snot Bust," in which he recounts the continual harassment of three religious/spiritual communities at Millbrook, the Neo-American Church, Sri Ram Ashrama, and the League for Spiritual Discovery.
