Stereoview of the Colossi on the Plain of Thebes, including the "Vocal Memnon." The colossi are two statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, the remains of a mortuary temple to Amenhotep, where they guarded the entrance of the temple. Frank Mason Good was an English photographer best known for his stereographic views of the Near East, taken over the course of four trips in the 1860s and 1870s. Side by side photos. GOOD condition. General toning, some fading and soiling. Good .
