Description: West Palm Beach, FL, Florida Free Press, Publisher, 1968. Tabloid. Side folding tabloid newspaper format. 8 pp. Black and white photos and illustrations throughout. An obscure underground newspaper from Florida, that according to the editors, hoped to serve the entire South, but struggled to have content. This first issue straddles social movements/political subjects and counterculture, with several pieces related to the legalization of marijuana, some about the CIA, Black power, etc. We note that Worldcat records for this paper indicate it started in November or 1968. Seems like they may be off.. GOOD condition. Faint horizontal fold crease present. Moderate toning and minor soiling. Light wrinkling and creasing. Good .
