The piece urges to "Enter in the Rear," and states, "Call us generous, call us easy: your wish is our command." This f lyer is perhaps for a specific event at Mugi's, for "sissies," which perhaps indicates gay men who like to dress as women. Mugi's was opened in 1978 by Yoshi Sasaki, and was originally a restaurant serving Japanese food. However the venue soon became popular with gay Asian men and, in 1981, the owner turned it into a gay bar that focused on gay Asian men. The bar evolved into a venue where the gay Asian community could gather and organize, with Mugi's often sponsoring fundraising events for the gay community. This includes benefit drag shows in the 1990s. According to Camille Wise (from whom the previous information was taken) in her history of Mugi's, the bar eventually earned the status of a "rice" bar, where white men would come to meet Asian men.
