An account of the schooner Mariette designed by noted American naval architect and yacht designer, Nathanael Greene Herreshoff. Herreshoff is known for his series of yacht designs that won the America's Cup from 1893 to 1920. The Mariette was one of his designs, built in 1915 for Harold S. Vanderbilt.
