Albion Tourgee was a Civil War solider, civil rights activist, writer and lawyer (he served as lawyer for Plessy in the Plessy v. Ferguson case). This issue with a story "Under Green Apple Boughs," illustrated by Howard Pyle; a poem, "Impressions," by Oscar Wilde; an article on interior design/architecture by Louis Comfort Tiffany and Co. and Donald G. Mitchell. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. General toning, minor soiling and wrinkling to the covers. Leaf 13/14 and 15/16 each with a two inch tear in their fore edge margin, affecting text (not readability). Good .
