She established the Kashi Ashram in Florida in 1976 and was known for acceptance of all people. Her foundation helped sponsor AIDS education and prevention, among other causes. However, her ashram and work has been called a cult by some, with allegations of physical and emotional abuse against the ashram and her leadership. GOOD+ condition.
