Xvi, 84 pp. A later edition of this play based on Mortimer, a nobleman who had an affair with Queen Isabella behind the back of Edward II. The play explores the political machinations and corruption of power that leads to the downfall of Mortimer. GOOD condition. Very slightly ex-library with a library name stamp on the reverse of the half-title. General toning, creasing and soiling to the first and last few pages. Some writing in faint pencil to the half title. Good .
