The journal published for 32 years, with a maximum subscription number of around 1700. This issue looks at the United Appeal charity and its struggles at the time. Bartimole presciently points out that the imagery used by UA in its fundraising efforts reinforces negative stereotypes of Black people perpetuated by a white power structure.
