The website "19th Century Juvenile Series" indicates this was part of a 10 volume juvenile series issued by Hewet in 1855, although there is no indication of such, and the binding color is different than that mentioned on the website. A retelling of this Cornish fairy tale, or legend, following the exploits of Jack who has a penchant for violently killing giants in a variety of ways. FAIR condition. Cloth on the spine completely nibbled away, leaving the front cover dangling by a thread at the lower corner. Minor toning, soiling and edgewear. Text block toned, with very minor scattered foxing. Fair .
