Missing copperplate engraving at the front. A cookbook written by the former cook of the Duchess of Argyle, including recipes for meat, fish poultry, pudding, pies, etc. GOOD condition. Missing aforementioned frontispiece plate. Moderate scuffing to the covers, with heavy scuffing, bumping and rounding to the extremities. Two inch split to the lower front hinge, with leather just starting to split at the upper front hinge. Minor scattered foxing throughout. Leaf 207/08 with a 4 inch vertical tear in its fore edge, not affecting text. Bitting 179. ESTC T63887. Good .
