An issue of this underground newspaper issued by the Movement for a Democratic Military of Orange County (MDM), an organization devoted to ending the Vietnam War and gaining more rights for soldiers in the US military. This issue with a short article on the case of Billy Dean Smith, a Black GI charged with fragging (killing a fellow soldier). Smith was charged with the murder of two superior officers, allegedly using a hand grenade. The case gained national headlines due to racial overtones and its use by anti-war activists. Smith was acquitted of all murder charges, although was convicted of assaulting an arresting officer. Another article discusses in brief, George Jackson, but mostly cites the theories of Mao Tse-Tung and his views on liberation, as they tie into Jackson's activism.
