Smith's Division) and the other depicting US gunboats on James River covering the retreat, with the Monitor and the Galena shown. A one page chart or map of the Mississippi River, in four columns, is also present. Part 10 of this work on the Civil War, issued by subscription and in parts, discussing the invasion of New Mexico, the march to Yorktown, the Battle of Williamsburg, Battle of Fair Oaks, Cross Keys, capture of Memphis, Morgan's Raids, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate soiling, staining and darkening to the wraps. Paper scuffed, bumped and worn along the extremities. Mostly minor spotting and foxing throughout, heavier to the first plates. Light scattered soiling. Good .
