A look at the impact of Christianity on the church, on the family, the state (government or political bodies), and on the industrial system, examining the ways Christianity has shaped or can change these institutions. The section relating to the industrial system examines capitalist systems, labor and wages and the ways in which Christianity can help the average worker. This appears to be perhaps an advocacy of Christian Socialism, although this term is not used. Sprague was the author of a work on Christian Socialism. GOOD+ condition. Minor general fading. Light rubbing an edgewear. Very minor soiling. Interior solid with minor toning to the paper. Scattered short, light pencil lines in the margins throughout the book, with three pages bearing heavy offsetting from newspaper clippings laid in. Good/No Jacket.
