Faint medium sized dampstain present to the covers with a slightly darker drop mark at the upper front cover. Rectangular outlines of tape the the upper front fore edge, with two 1 1/2 to 2 inch length tape repairs along the spine. Moderate creasing and some soiling. Moderate to heavy faint creasing to the covers, mostly along the extremities. Several chips and small tears along the edges, especially to the rear cover, which has a 1 by 1/2 inch triangular piece missing from the upper spine corner and a 3/4 inch in area piece missing fromt the lower corner (this results in slight loss of text). Covers starting to split at the uppe and lower edge. Interior solid with minor scattered soiling, creasing and general toning. Upper corners folded over. Ill.: Beatrix Potter. Fair .
