The book was formerly part of the esteemed photography collection of Chris Steele-Perkins, a distinguished member of Magnum Photos. Steele-Perkins, a British photographer acclaimed for his work on social issues and his explorations within Britain and the developing world, has also been an avid collector of historical photographic works, including those by Weegee.
