He is best known for his role as an ambassador to France, where he navigated complex relations between Catholic and Protestant powers in the late 16th century. A committed Catholic and loyal servant of the House of Savoy, Lucinge was also a thoughtful commentator on history and statecraft. His writings include a history of the Ottoman Empire and a treatise on the art of negotiation, reflecting his interest in diplomacy, power, and the shifting balance of European politics. Though less widely known today, his works were influential in their time and reveal a measured, pragmatic approach to international affairs.. Very Good- with no dust jacket .
