His work is deeply rooted in the Welsh environment, capturing its natural beauty and ecological nuances. Moore has been a professional photographer since 1991 and has been described as "Wales's leading environmental photographer" by Will Troughton, Curator of Photographs at the National Library of Wales. He publishes a distinctive range of postcards under the title Wild Wales / Cymru Wyllt, now in their thirty-eighth year. His publications include collaborations such as Wales: The Lie of the Land with Nigel Jenkins and Heart of the Country with William Condry. Moore's work has been exhibited in venues like the Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Oriel Plas Brondanw. The National Library of Wales houses a significant collection of his photographs. Gwyn Thomas (1936–2016) was a distinguished Welsh poet, academic, and translator. Born in Tanygrisiau, Gwynedd, and raised in Blaenau Ffestiniog, he pursued Welsh studies at the University of Wales, Bangor, and later at Jesus College, Oxford. Thomas authored 16 volumes of poetry and was renowned for translating the medieval Welsh tales of the Mabinogion into English. His contributions to Welsh literature were further recognised when he served as the National Poet of Wales from 2006 to 2008. Throughout his career, Thomas was a professor at Bangor University, where he influenced many students and scholars.
