The Union Meeting article appears on p. 4, last column, 30,000 said to be in attendance in New York City at the Academy, upholds the punishment of the insurrectionists at Harpers Ferry, the value of the constitution and "It is the duty of our farmers, planters, manufacturers, mechanics and every citizen, North and South, East and West, to discountenance all parties and organizations that thus violate the spirit of the constitution, the advice of [George] Washington about keeping the Union strong. Also, news of "Death of a Veroy Old Colred Man" named George Wppdhouse and news of migration from Northern medical schools of Southern medical students back to the South at the invitation of Southern medical schools. Also, news on last page about the Campbell Minstrels succeeding Christy's Minstrels in London. "A new feature in the negro entertainment is the introductions of a Spanish ballet". Very Good.
