This copy has been disbound and enhanced with new material found in later editions, including photostats of the first and second frontispieces, the title and deposit pages, the Sketches errata sheet, a frontispiece of the Baltimore Exchange, six pages of the Annals on Baltimore from 1821 through 1823, and six pages of concluding statistical tables and addenda to the Annals. In addition, 56 pages from a later edition of the Annals are including covering Baltimore through 1829. While the spine stamping appears professionally accomplished the three-quarter leather and marbled boards are less professional but still rather pleasant. Bound into this copy is a typed sheet outlining the major textual additions. The presentation of this book to the Baltimore Equitable Society by Thomas C. Comer is noted on the front pastedown with some additional pencil notations on the rear pastedown. An unusual gathered copy of materials from the various editions of this book. Fine.
