Description: London, A. Millar, 1759. First Edition. 0 pp. Leather. Both volumes are bound in full leather with gilt decoration, five raised bands, and a red leather label on the spine. Rubbing on the boards and extremities, small scuffs, and wear at the tips. Insterior text pages are near fine with brief occasional foxing, corner chip (no text loss) on the next to final leaf of volume 2. Two small eighteenth or nineteenth century ads for these volumes mounted on the rare pastedown of volume 2. Original owner's name below the title on the title-page of each volume. Pencil notations on the front endpaper of volume one, which is present but detached, and the rear endpaper of volume two. Volume One: [a-b][i-ii]iii-viii+[1]2-437+Errata+two-page catalog of publications. Volume Two: [a-b][1]2-260+Appendix, [1]2-118+A Critical. [1]2-39+Errata in Vol. II, Errata in the Appendix.
