This is number 7 of 133 numbered copies.The first page states that this copy was presented to Bro Clulow (George Clulow) by T.C. Venables. It was created in 1878 as a club of people interested in and involved with the book trade initiated by Bernard Quaritch, the legendary London bookseller. The list of members in the history of the club included several well-known individuals such as John Lane, A.J.A. Symonds, and Vyvyan Holland. The guests included Oscar Wilde, Sidney Lee, Mark Twain, Walter Crane, Edmund Gosse, Aubrey Beardsley, George Bernard Shaw, Max Beerbohm, George Meredith, George Sala, Ernest Dowson, William Archer, and Jack B. Yeats. The UCLA Clark Library currently has a digital exhibit on the Odd Volumes curated by Ellen Crowell. Near Fine.
