Special issue of Harper's Weekly with outside cover picturing Mark Twain on front and entitled "Mark Twain's Birthday Souvenir Number" with "Harper's Weekly" stated at top and "Edited by George Harvey" beneath the heading. The back cover os the "Souvenir Number" wrapper is detached but present. There is light fading to this cover and a few short tears to edges of front and back and a mild crease to foredge of front and all pages. Inside is the full issue of the same week with the "Uncle Sam's Christmas Dream" cover by W.A. Rogers. The souvenir cover has clear tape reinforcement to inside where it's attached to the cover of the regular December 23, 1905 issue. Beside short creases to the top corner of cover and pages, the interior shows only light wear and no tears. The souvenir cover with Twain's photo in the center would look very good framed. Very Good.
