What distinguishes this copy is the author's presentation inscription, "for Mother and Dad with my love, Jeremy, May 24, 1945". Also laid into this copy are 1) a small bookmark stating, "For You Just to wish you a Happy Easter", 2) a leather bookmark stamped "JEREMY INGALLS", and 3) an eight-page pre-publication brochure in which Knopf quotes from a letter from Ingalls sent in with the finished manuscript of this book, which they state, provides "a unique view into the actual design of one of the most extraordinary literary achievements of our era.". Good.
