File fold signed on the tab by Fasanella containing to a 1985 exhibit ("Urban Visions: The Paintings of Ralph Fasanella") at the New York State Museum, a clipped article from Sports Illustrated on Fasanella from 1956, a black-and-white glossy photograph (7.5" x 8.5") of "Fiesta", an oil painting by Fasanella which is titled and signed by him on the verso, a one-page typed biography of Fasanella that is signed by him in pencil at the bottom and contains a later note to a gallery owner and signed "Ralph" at the top, and a print of Fasanella's "Sunday Afternoon" on which he has revised the caption and printed his name on the front panel of the folder containing the print. Blacklisted during the McCarthy era, Fasanella was re-discovered in the 1972 cover story in New York Magazine that caused an upsurge of interest in his work and brought him national fame, the book Fasanella's City, and rapidly expanding art sales. This is a unique collection of material by and about Fasanella, most of which is signed and/or with notations in his hand. Very Good/Very Good.
