Original, complete disbound issue that shows slight wear at the spine and light fading, o/w fine. Also, spectacular two-page illustration by Thomas Nast showing a blindfolded Lady Justice being led by a devil figure to the edge of a cliff as God overlooks from his perch in the clouds holding an hour glass nearly empty. The caption reads, "' 'Tis the times' plague, when madmen lead the blind.' -- Shakspeare." The illustration is in remarkably bright condition and quite suitable for framing. Size is 16" wide and 22" tall. Full-page collage of illustrations by G.S. Reinhart, "The Centennial--Bits from Our Artist's Sketch-Book" and another full-page illustration by Schell and Hogan of the opening day of the Centennial exhibition at the intersection of Elm and Belmont Avenue in Philadelphia. Fine.
