Description: Bound volume of MUNSEY'S for Oct 1897 to March 1898. Half red leather and cloth. Leather spine chipped and cracked; front hinge weak. Interior is fine but binding is in only fair condition. THEODORE DREISER'S SECOND APPEARENCE IN PRINT. The January 1898 issue of Munsey's Magazine contained Dreiser's second published article. His first appearence in print was two months earlier in November 1897. The young author's first book was not published until 1900. This bound volume of Munsey's also includes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "My Favorite Novelist" as well as contributions by W. Clark Russell, Bret Harte, Hall Caine, Stanley J. Weyman, etc. .
