Anti-Catholic work by prolific English writer and historian William Howitt (1792-1879). His wife was the poet Mary Botham, who wrote "The Spider and the Fly." Ironically, she converted to Catholicism after her husband's death. Measures approx. 6.8" x 4.5. Very Good .
