Anti-Catholic tract published in association with the Convent Enquiry Society, a British organization that lobbied for legislation to curtail the growth of convents and their associated schools. Their goal was to expose alleged abuses and "protect" the nuns from the "tortures" associated with religious vows by subjecting convents to rigorous government regulation and inspection. This vintage booklet from the Society, containing the purported testimony of a young woman who suffered in a Dominican convent, is undated, but likely from the early 1900s. Very Good .
