Illustrated with numerous drawings and tipped-in black and white plates, which depict noted actors of the day who portrayed the play's characters, including Gerald du Maurier and Lilliah McCarthy. This play served as the basis for the hit silent film MALE AND FEMALE (Paramount, 1919) directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Gloria Swanson. This copy of the book is signed by Irish nobleman Armar Lowry-Corry, 5th Earl Belmore (1870-1948). Very Good .
