Very good condition. Owner's lengthy inscriptions over the entirety of the front endpapers in volume 1. Top corners bumped on volume 2. Bottom corner of page 537 in volume 2 is torn. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight in both. Illustrated with lots of black and white engravings. Originally issued in a cheap leather binding; most copies need rebinding. Very Good .
