All pages are tanned and brittle with age; occasional chipped corners and margins, not affecting the text itself. Text is unmarked except for occasional smudged fingerprints. Vintage biography of the Republican congressman and multi-time Secretary of State, illustrated with occasional black and white engravings. Good .
