This volume features "In Gnome-Man's Land" by Tudor Jenks, an article about John Muir by Mary R. Parkman, the poem "Christmas Eve" by Isabel Lyndall, and several installments of "Understood Betsy" by Dorothy Canfield [Fisher] who was responsible for introducing the Montessori method of education in the United States.
