A hardcover book bound in full golden-brown leather with a gilt-decorated spine, full gilt foredges, gilt dentelles, and marbled endpapers. Very good condition overall. The exterior is essentially pristine, with only the barest signs of shelf wear. The tips of the free endpapers are tanned, mirroring the dentelles. Scattered spotty stains, plus mild foxing on and around the plates. Otherwise, text unmarked and binding quite secure. Illustrated with 12 black and white plates by George Cruikshank. Measures approx. 7" x 4.8.
