Fair condition; the leather is chipped along the edges and cracking vertically down the spine. Front hinge reinforced with archival tape. Wear to the edges of pages 275-280 (text unaffected). All pages heavily foxed, especially on and around the plates. Binding is a little weak, but still secure for normal handling. First American edition of Barrington's work discussing the period of Grattan's Parliament and idealizing the notion of Irish independence. .
