Volume I is Pars Hiemalis et Vernalis while Vol. II is Pars Aestivalis et Autumnalis. Each volume measures 13 x 20 x 4 1/2 inches and weighs approximately 26 pounds. The books are bound in flull black leather with brass decor, including two clasps on each book and an ornate symbol of the Sacred Heart on the front of Vol. I and the rear cover of Vol. II. Very good condition. There is some wear to the front upper hinge of Vol. I and the leather has deteriorated along the top few inches of the gutter. Text is clean and tight. Text in Latin. A massive work which would have been used in the choir of a Cisterican abbey. This is a 1947 printing and reflects the pre-Vatican II version of the Daily Office.
