Cerfaux sees St. Paul's concept of the Church as an evolution in three stages: the idea of the Church as the Chosen People of Christ, a distinction between the Jews and the Christians as St. Paul's missionary work progresses, and the refinement of his overall perception during his captivity. Originally published in 1947; this is the third impression. Very good .
