The jacket has a tiny chip at the top right corner of its front panel and a couple short closed tears to the top left. The colorful Hannes Bok illustration is not affected. There is a small faint stain on the foot of the spine which has not penetrated to the interior of the book. One of only 3,000 copies published. An important work of fantasy which helped rescue the work of the great British fantasy/horror author William Hope Hodgson (1877-1918). He invented the genre of cosmic horror and was a major influence on the work of H.P. Lovecraft. .
