Book condition : very good. Uncommon nice and uniform set of this edition of the works of Abel François Villemain (1790-1870). He was politician, French minister of education (1839-1848), literary critic and member of the l'Académie française (1821). His lectures on the history of French literature at the Sorbonne were a great succes at the time (cf. Escoffier 918).
