Book condition : as new. - Henry William Katz (born Herz Wolff Katz in 1906 in Rudky, Austria-Hungary; died June 7, 1992 in Florida, USA) was an Austro-American writer and journalist. Katz was a journalist for the Berlin newspaper Die Welt am Montag until 1933. He experienced the 1933 book burning in Germany on May 10, 1933 and the attacks against Jews and dissidents since the seizure of power. He first emigrated to France (arriving in Lyon on May 17, 1933). From 1939 to 1940 he was a soldier in the French army. In March 1941 he emigrated to the USA. He is considered an exiled author. He was called Fischmann's Katz after his main work The Fishmans. His estate is in the German Exile Archive 1933-1945. He used different spellings of his name, e.g. B. Willi Katz, Bill Katz, Guillaume Katz, Herz Wolff and the pseudonym Willibald Kater. ISBN 9783484651333.
