Volumes V and VI contain other works by Lohner. See verso of title-page (cf. note in OCLC record 49818786). Contemporary mottled calf with raised bands, and richly gilt decorated spine. Folio 24 x 36 cm. Title-page volume I printed in red and black, decorated initials, head- and tailpieces. Book condition : very good. - Nice copy of this uncommon edition of the main work by Tobias Lohner, Jesuit and professor for philosophy and Theology in Dillingen (Germany), who published many works for pastoral practice. It is one of the richest sources of textual material for all forms of religious discourse; homiletical illustrations, preaching handbook, manual; catechizing, giving exhortations etc. The first edition was published in 1681 in Dillingen and it was many times reprinted upto the end of the 19th century.
