Title: In order that the opinions of the Persons who framed the Drainage Bill for East and West Fens, may be known to those who are inclined to promote the scouring out of Wainfleet Haven at the present period, it has been thought expedient to circulate the following paper. Extract of a Letter from Sir Joseph Banks, dated, London, April 12th, 1802.
Description: Horncastle: Printed at the Office of James Weir, [1802] Folio, single sheet, inner lower margin trimmed with no loss, old closed tear. Unrecorded. Sir Joseph Banks [1743 - 1820] had a family estate at Revesby, near Horncastle and he was the Lord of the Manor of Horncastle. It is likely that his estate would have been affected by these proposals. There is a Joseph Banks Centre in the town.
