This appeal was to raise funds from church and other sources to form "...not fewer than ten additional districts... with the means of public worship, instruction and pastoral superintendence. The poverty of the inhabitants renders it essential that some provision should be made for the support of clergymen." A sum of not less than £75,000 was sought and 6 pages of this pamphlet are devoted to the names of contributors and the sums given by each.
