Description: Sarjent, 57 John St. Fitzroy Sq. [ink ms note], [1788] Pair of hand coloured aquatints by Francis Jukes, each 300 mm. diameter, top blank corners of the second cut at an angle, both mounted on thin card. The old church, a medley of styles from the 17th and 18th centuries, grafted on to the ruins of the old nunnery, dissolved by Henry VII, was dismantled and the new church, after a design by John Carr replaced it, being dedicated in 1792.
