Description: 1879. Large original pen and ink drawing, 420 x 310 mm. laid down on thin card. Peter Jones established his first shop in Chelsea 1877, later moving to King's Road where he expanded into a number of premises on the King's Road, redeveloping and rebuilding as he went. This is an original drawing showing "Designs approved by Lord Cadogan for rebuilding of business premises on his Lordship's Estate in Chelsea and now being carried out for Mr. Peter Jones by Messrs Perry & Reed, archts." It was published in The Architect, May 17th 1879.
